Have you looked into a babies eyes and had them stare back at you with what seems to be the wisdom of the ages? We often make off-hand comments about kids being old souls or wise beyond their years...what if there is more to that then we realise?
We have many ways we talk about babies and or children that hint and what's true. Still, we don't acknowledge that children may be born with a knowledge and personality of their own from the very beginning, which means that our throwaway comments might actually be an awareness of something true.
What if, when you have a baby that baby isn't the blank slate that you think they are? What if that baby actually has awareness, intelligence and experience, that you may not have considered it could have?
It could be possible that your baby comes in with the attitude, "Hey, I'm coming to you for x, y and z". And what if our babies are contributing, aware and present even before they are physically here? And how much are you aware of this and you've just not been totally willing to acknowledge it?
Many women have an impression of their baby but will disregard it.
Then later down the road, they remember that first sense of their baby and they are like, "Oh God, I knew you were coming, and you were just stubborn, way back when." Or they might say, "You were that sweet like space".
What I really enjoy is empowering women to know that they are not making these things up; they genuinely are aware of the baby that is being born to them.
